"Nobody on earth photographs musicians better than Pete Millson. Nobody looks more carefully, waits more patiently, pounces more delicately and tactfully as he captures a thousand subtle shades of their soul. As a deep thinker, lifelong musician and passionate lover of songcraft, he is the ideal person for the job and executes it as only a person with those three special qualifications could. There is nobody else quite like Pete. I suspect that one day, long after all of us here now are gone, there will be some kind of special cathedral named after him."

The above is all true, as long as you can picture it being shouted into a megaphone in a field of sheep by my good friend, Tom Cox.

Pete Millson is primarily a music photographer. He has been contributing portraits to newspapers, magazines, record and book covers around the world for over thirty years as well as delivering class-A band/artist promo pics to seasoned stars and shy, normal people alike—five years as a regular contributor to The Guardian—he also has six of his portraits in the National Portrait Gallery in London. He lives in Bridport, Dorset on the south coast of England.
